Travelling with the Guitar

I've been called a groupie, a roadie, a coolie... but all I really am is wife to my guitar-playing husband who travels some. I get to tag along, to take me away from the monotony of obsessive house cleaning. Here, I log our adventures with food, airlines, hotels, food, organisers, fans, food, people, books I read. Did I say 'food' already? Well, someone's got to tell people what life's like on the road, right?

Sara on tour?
Sometimes. When Roger's gig requires him to stay more than two, three nights, Sara and I tag along. So far, we've been to KL for the Equatorial Hotel, KL, gig (Sara's first flight, she was not yet three months old then) and to Johor where we had our very first family holiday with the baby. Sara and I were not however at the performance venues because those could get smoky.

The first time Sara "saw" (not sure if she could see so far. Then again, she was too sleepy then) Roger perform was at the Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival in August. That was the first time I had seen him perform on stage since ... the Penang Island Jazz Fest last December. I think. I had forgotten how good the man is.
